birthday wishes

My version of Sue Wilson's card using her new corner dies
I tinted some pearlescent card from my stash with Adirondack aqua ink for the layer under the sentiment and used the same card as a final mat.
The flowers are vellum tinted with the same ink, as is the [white] ribbon.
I made the stickpins with Sue's new elements plus some of my own, snipping off the fixed pearl on the head.

best wishes

Another of Sue Wilson's designs showcasing the gorgeous new Greek Island Background die, embellished with the ivy Finishing Touches.
On my version I have used the Cornflower as an embellishment and there is a layer with diamond sprinkles under the trellis of the die.

friend like a rainbow

I had fun working out how to replicate this Sue Wilson design!
It is one that she blogged to showcase her new Square Frame die.
I used the new lilac card I bought with some of the pumice coloured card as a variation to white/milk.  It is like a very muted, palest of grey.
Luckily I also had the stamp sentiment.

Periwinkle blue and white card for this Sue Wilson design
My first attempt at this kind of ribbon bow using the new satin ribbon from creative expressions.

thanks for everything

This Sue Wilson design card is again using the 'bed of roses' embossing folder.
I used lilac and white card.
The flower is made from the camellia and the classic rose dies, scrunched up and tipped with shaded lilac ink.
[I have a new pack of card I bought labelled 'lilac' also but it is a different, more pinkish, shade.  It is a nice colour nonetheless.  I will use it soon]

you're special to me

Peach and white card for this Sue Wilson design
It showcases her new 'bed of roses' embossing folder which I think is one of the best so far!
On the peach square embossed piece I used the reverse/deboss of the folder as they are both stunning.
Creative Expressions have these new sentiment stamps in clear polymer which I really love - much easier to place your stamped image.

just for you

This is a more 'masculine' style card designed by Sue Wilson and recently shown on her blog.
The background embossing folder is one of her new 8 x 8 inch folders in a snakeskin pattern.  The technique here is just embossed on brown card then walnut stain distress ink swiped over the surface.  A very realistic leather effect.
I made two of these with slightly different sized frame [with the 'rope' embossed edge] as I imagine they will be popular for my charity.
