My papercraft and card making projects

London

While reading other blogs recently I saw people using Tim's technique for a 'rusty' background using clear embossing powder.
I needed a card to send to a friend [in London] and thought i would use this technique for the background in this make using my new Artistic Outpost stamp set!  I dont often buy stamps that are not Holtz, but this set looks like it will be very useful; especially with the Olympics just around the corner!! lol!
I hung the mini tag [cut with Alterations tiny tags die] on a hitch fastener, so it could be removed and kept in a wallet or something, with a message on the back.
The crown i embossed in antique gold and sprinkled some cosmic shimmer gold glitter in it when still hot - i do like cosmic shimmer stuff - especially the dark bronze powder which is one of the best colours i have seen.
I have started to use corrugated card quite a bit too recently - i love dimension and texture.

keep calm

i had a bit of a day today ......
last night when doing my online banking i discovered i had lost my blimmin wallet!!
after cancelling my card and worrying all night, i went and reported it lost at the police station today and also asked at all the shops i had been in ... no luck.
THEN when i got home this evening i pasted a little sign at the main door of our flats --- just on the off-chance that someone had found it ....
WOULD YOU BELIEVE 10 minutes later a lovely neighbour knocked and delivered my wallet complete with cash!! I had dropped it in the stairway of our flats!!!!!!!

That is what i call luck!!!

To express my gratitude i made them this little offering [they are a bit goth/alternative with a gorgeous baby that wears skull and crossbones already!! love it!] .... oh and i gave them the cash from my wallet as i had resigned myself to losing it anyway!!

An old friend of mine recently caught up with me after 30-odd years [ facebook is amazing!! ] and she asked me to make a special card for her daughter [who is now the age we were when we worked together!!! lol].
She loves Audrey Hepburn and motorycles!!
I am sure she wont mind me publishing this [ok Lyn?!! lol!]
It is A4 size and I am very proud of it!!

Sussex Beacon Garden Party

This weekend was the Annual Sussex Beacon Garden Party to raise funds for the Hospice.
I didn't find out about it until friday so I wizzed together some 6 x 6 cards for them to sell .... they ALL sold in about 15 minutes after I put them out!!

I have discussed with the fund raisers that next year I might be able to take my Vagabond and some inks etc and a stack of stash and set up a 'stall' to make cards on site and to let people have a go at making their own!

Here is a couple of shots from their Garden....
