and yes the eyes etc glow
in the dark!!



guess what .... yep halloween !!!

this has to be my favourite of tim's dies this season...

most of these cards will be for my charity 

i'm trying out lots of different techniques for the backgrounds;

the boo is in chunky glitter
background is kraft glassine
cosmic shimmer orange paint and
dark bronze powder on embossed
background, heated to seal on

black card sprayed with perfect pearl
boo is totally covered with the
glow-in-the-dark paint!!
looks amazing at night!!



dark grey glitter on boo
last year's embossing folder
from TH on manila card
swiped with sepia archival
 and clear embossing powder
[for resist], then inked

and a bit of black sparkly fluff! lol

i'm loving tim's new dies for halloween!!!

i've used pinflair gel glue to stick things down for big dimension!

layered card is just bazzil basic or core-dinations

[waiting for kraft core-dinations to arrive!! yumm!]

halloween stamp and embossing folder,
 black card with inks and perfect pearls,
 spider covered in glossy accent.

kraft resist background, white distress ink, perfect pearls

again stamped and embossed background with
 interference pearls on black card,
 silver glitter on boo - for a change!
 glow-in-the-dark skull!!

stamped/embossed on watercolour card
 and sprayed with water.
 boo is just on black card with rock candy crackle

handy tip of the day;

i used to find that ordinary chipboard would sometimes not cut completely even with the vagabond, but i have found that if you run it through twice or even 3 times [easy to do with the vaggy - just change direction] it cuts chipboard much better, without so much of the 'tearing'.... the 'boo' has been coming out much easier doing this - there are lots of small waste pices!

i received my first part of my order of tim's latest dies for halloween today so i had to have a play!!

i added to the card i made yesterday;

the skull is glow-in-the-dark!!

and i had to add some special glitter to the 'boo'!

and i am very proud to know the amazing Kaz!! her samples were quite stunning!!  well done hun!!

steampunk card

just a random card to get inky!

manila card covered in fresco paints london night, crackle glaze, snowflake on top, tinted with blue alcohol ink.

tim's stamps 'steampunk' in iris stazon to give a 'blueprint' look. Clockface, plate etc and cogs cut from grungeboard coloured with silver dabber and distressed with brown dabber / tools.  ideaology embellies.

HANDY TIP;

i was cutting up 12 x 12 sheets of manila into standard US size pieces [4 1/4" by 5 1/2"]to fit the embossing folders for some halloween and christmas cards and i found the strip left over was just the right size to cut into ATCs
