a birthday card

this black and white card has an m-bossabilies flora background edged with weathered wood di
i used a spellbinders scallop edge die that i have had ages [and rarely used] and cut out black and white pieces, cutting the white one in half lengthways and attached them to the card using foam pads for depth, top and bottom

the centre is a paper doylie, spellbinders sprightly sprocket and ironworks motifs in layers with foam pads again for depth, with an inkylicious sentiment stamp.  i added a strip of black ribbon behind the medallion.

special day

another black and ivory card using the cardstock and embellies from creative studios
[sadly out of stock]

the card pad is just the best quality and designs that all compliment each other so making it very easy to make a special card.

my grungy head is definately having a holiday!

the future belongs ....

this card is black and ivory/white, although the picture makes it look a little blue.

the decorative background is the same make of card that the black/kraft cards i have been making, in black/ ivory.  it is in short supply but i managed to get some from the lovely sam poole at creative studios HERE, as are the organza roses and the hat pins. [first time i have used anything like this!]
the rose is attached to spellbinders ironworks motifs, and the sentiment is on spellbinders labels tenty-two

embrace everything / updated

** updated
i decided to add some small black flowers to the tree branch and i also added a dimensional layer to the bird, embossing it with white pearl powder using the same inkylicious vine stamp that i added aroound the sentiment.  i added a wing to the top layer.

this card has a base by m-bossabilities ornamental iron.
i wiped clear perfect medium over the debossed side of the folder and after running it through i sprinkled mushroom embossing powder.  this gave a nice metallic colour to the recessed areas.
the layers are spellbinders labels twenty two.
the middle layer had the same embossing treatment with the reverse folder.
the sentiment is from sam poole 'art sayings'
tim holtz bird branch die cut.

pink and grey

i had a dream a few days ago that was all about pink and grey - my dreams make no sense!!
anyhoo i decided to make a card using pink and grey card.
i have used 2 shades of grey card [not 50!!!lol] and one of the pink.

the background is one of my new m-bossabilities folders [i'm lovin these!]

TIP;
if you are going to use the m-bossabilities in a vagabond you MUST use the correct plates -- platform, no shim, folder with card inside, sizzix black silicone sheet then sizzix black texture plate, not the clear plate.

spellbinders ironworks motifs decorate a tim holtz label with his tattered pinecones making the roses
the butterfly is from marianne creatables.  i layered it with both colours with a black body and a black flourish sizzix sizzlet on the roses.

i have been very inspired by the lovely hels sheridan making some fabulous cards on her recent create and craft appearances, so thanks to her! xx

i really love the new spellbinders collection -- i must get me some more of their dies because they really do make beautiful and elegant cards.

stampendous linus and cameo

after my scary departure into the clean and white i have delved straight back into the dark side!
the linus card was edged with stampendous stamp border and lots of frantage enamels in copper and bronze ... i cant get enough of these colours!!
the background script is done with perfect pearls and the camera has caught it a bit too much - its actually very subtle.
while pondering if it needed any more decoration i had a nocturnal thought to use a medium sized rosette from tim and chopped it into 4 pieces to use as corners.  i had to liberally apply frantage to them too!

this cameo is a stampendous stamp i have used before [but no longer available sadly].
i recently bought some indigoblu flitterglu and mega flakes [brighton pier -- of course!!] which i used to stamp the frame and face.  i then restamped the frame and cut it out to give the frame some dimension with 3d pads.
3 small paper roses were coloured with black, copper and gold enamels and a little black glitter.
i edged the whole card with frantage enamel and gold mica,[ but im not sure if i overcooked it?]
halloween is on the horizon and this is aimed at that, as have a few more cards i am in process of making!

anyone not tried frantage  yet?  head to the stamp man for great prices and the entire collection

listen to your heart

yes believe it or not i made this!!
a long journey from my usual 'stylee' but i occasionally like to make something clean and precise

this is made with milk and sand coloured card [ebay find] and spellbinders ironworks dies
the butterfly is from marianne designs, stamped sentiment from mr holtz.
