birthday card

 

happy easter everyone!!

 

i have been asked to make a birthday card for a man, and i thought sue wilson's recent design could be adapted to that.

 

i dont have the antique labels die she used in the focal element [yet!] so i used another one with matching stamps and a birthday sentiment

i recently got the lovely aster flower die and stamps which make wonderful flowers

 

these are the first cards made using my new grand calibur!!  i still find multiple small cuts eg for the flowers much easier to do with my vagabond, but i have noticed the cutting very good and the embossing much deeper with the gc.

this is one of sue wilsons recent designs that i had to have a go at!

i ended up making 3 of them as i thought they would sell well, but that meant cutting out a load of the asters!! lol!  but well worth it as the result is really nice.

 

i have also recently started to pierce the edges [when i have the space] as sue does  it really does make a difference.  i got hold of a piercing mat which makes it so much easier!  and sue's recent demo on tv helped too.

 

this card is made using all heartfelt creations dies and stamps.

sorry i have not blogged for a while .... i have not made so many cards recently - the charity is well stocked just now!!

i recently bought them a great display rack for the shop because i thought sue's cards need to be presented properly.

 

this card from sue wilson's designs is very simple - gold and black is a delicious combo.

 

i have been buying up a lot of the new heartfelt creations dies and stamps and will be making my versions of sue's designs with them soon!

 

o and yes .... i finally gave in and bought myself a grand calibur machine!!  easy payments on create and craft! yaay!

happy mothers day

 

using the same sue wilson design that i used in my last post, i made a last minute mothers day card for a friend but with lilac card instead of the teal.

i think this design is perfect for this and many other occasions.

i have to be careful of extra depth with my cards for ease of posting for buyers, so i excluded the delicious flower buds that sue uses on her design but used some tiny paper rosebuds.

 

the justrite stamps are simply stunning imo.

i made them all into mothers day cards, some of which i have given to friends for their mums, the rest have gone to my charity
