just a note

In Sue Wilson's original of this she used a different sentiment but it would be too large for my version so i used this one.

i don't have any silver texture paste so i mixed some gunmetal with polar white.

The thin ribbon is tinted grey with the new grey distress ink.

A simple Sue Wilson card using gloss black for a nice change and a matching stamp that i coloured using distress markers.

you're so special

There is a video on Sue Wilson's page that shows this card and how to do the letterpress background.

you're special to me

A little splicing through the center and you have a new shape!!

Sue Wilson showed how to achieve this very simply.
Even the central shape around the sentiment is a cut-down die cut.

happy birthday

A recent Sue Wilson video for this technique of a 'stained glass window effect.

The glitter does not photograph well but looks really nice true life.

thinking of you

A card that Sue Wilson has a video tutorial for.

It has come out a bit blue here but it is done in milk card with gold embossing powder.

I followed a tip for the weaving dies by using pins and pinning each strip on my piercing mat as I progressed.  The outcome is much easier!

just for you

First time I have tried Sue's 'caught in crystal' technique and I love it!!

best wishes

I am not too sure whether this is one of Sue Wilson's designs or if it is by Julia Watts.

I lightly inked a piece of decorative paper with distress ink then covered it in micro beads.
I used the same ink lightly over the die cut frame for a slight distressed look.
I made the sugared 'rose' with a heartfelt creations flower die.

just a note

The directions that Sue Wilson gave for this card were using clear lacquer over the black frame to add a shine -- I have just used gloss black card.

Very striking in black and white, but I have been asked to make one or two sympathy type cards and I did think this one would be suitable also.

trailing ivy

This Sue Wilson design uses the lovely ivy cut from card coloured with a few different green shades of distress ink, then highlighting the 'veins' by stencilling dark ink through the cut die.  I covered the leaves in some clear lacquer.

you're wonderful

Today's Sue Wilson card is very blingy!!

I used a different diagonal die on my version because I don't have the heart one that Sue uses, but it works in its own way!

a treasured friend

I used peach coloured card for my version of this Sue Wilson design.

I believe she showed it on her last tv appearance.

The stamped image was coloured with distress markers but I blinged it a little with come wink of stellar pens..  I think John Lockwood designed this lovely stamp.

just for you

this wonderful Sue Wilson design is my reproduction using her last die and stamp release.

I havn't used a stamped design for a while.
 It's lovely colouring-in sometimes!

for you

I love how Sue Wilson designs lovely cards like this.
They look complicated but are quite simple really.

The new corner accents make an appearance here.

peace is a journey

My card today is also from Sue Wilson's recent spring release.

The sentiment is from a Justrite set.

I am trying to produce as many cards as I can because my charity's shop keeps selling out!!  I have been told people are coming in asking for them now!! :)

Warm thoughts

Another of Sue Wilson's preview releases using the gorgeous new line of 'configurations' dies.  These are smaller accent dies which create lovely shapes and designs when cut multiple times as in this example.
I used lilac and white for my card.
