inkylicious

firstly my apologies for my dreadful camera work ... i must find a way of photographing my cards so they are at least not wonky!! lol!

recently i discovered inkylicious stamps and products

see their website HERE

i bought some of their [hard to get hold of] art silk card, some of the ink 'dusters' and quite a few stamps which have some lovely sentiments on them.
the backgrounds are mainly using holtz seasonal distress ink with the dusters. its very easy and gives a lovely blended effect.
after my recent 'public appearance' i realised that people liked the simple cards too so with that in mind i have been making as many as i can [often in multiples of same design] so that i can raise more money for my charity.
these are far removed my my usual holtz-distress style but i am enjoying doing something different for a while.
i really like the simplicity of these cards, the designs of which i borrowed from their website - except this 'time flies' card which is all my own design! with lots of frantage and perfect pearls. this stamp is from the stamp man.

sorry i have not been blogging much recently but i have been a bit busy
i still regularly read all my blog list and love the work that everyone does -- it really inspires me.

3 cards with face stamp

these 3 cards are again very similar both in their own design and embracing the format i have been making recently.
i have used  a face stamp from inkylicious as the focal image, which i embossed then tinted the lips and cheeks with cut n dry nibs.   again adding graduated ink with their dusters and using embossing folders on each tag.  i added various 'tag toppers' cut with on the edge dies.
lots more frantage yumminess on each card
this face stamp is quite striking i think and stamps really well.
the top card has a background of paperartsy crackly tissue cut with vintage doily edge die

tags with sentiments

after my recent sell-out performance at the sussex beacon [lol]
i needed to make a few more cards to replace all the ones sold
the design i used for these cards seemed very popular so why fix it if it aint broke.....

while reading my blog list a couple of days ago i read a really good idea from tammy tutterow to add a topper to a tag where the non embossed part is.
unfortunately i cant find that post, but this is my version [hers is far superior!!]
so thanks to tammy for the idea.

i just purchased some ink dusters from inkylicious and had a bash at colouring with them.  i love the blending you can easily achieve, using the summer distress colours.
i used the honeycomb texture fade with the diffuser on the first tag and the bookplate on the second one.  the sentiments are also from inkylicious which i embossed.
both tags were edged with aged copper frantage then mounted on a trimmed piece of kraft card [papermania kraftstax] which had some craft mesh and crumpled and inked paperartsy crackly tissue adhered to it.
i finished them off with some frantage powders and glued some glitters and mica flakes to both.
i wish i had more spare time to produce more cards ..... they sell so well and every penny counts!  i will try my hardest to make some more, even if i have to re-produce some of the ones i have previously made.

sorry about the appalling photography ... its not my forte.

london 2012

i made a couple of cards like this at my recent charity event and they sold instantly [i had to warn that the glue was still wet!! lol]
so i thought i could make a few more as the time fast approaches for the london olympics
the london stamp is from stampendous coloured with promarkers [i only have a few of these]
the flower is a new paperartsy stamp with a creative expressions dazzler in the centre
the numbers are cut from wordplay and embossed with black tinsel powder.
i edged the base in aged black frantage and spritzed the whole thing with tourquoise perfect pearl
