vintage typewriter

these new tim holtz dies are fantastic!!

today i had a play with the vintage typewriter
i cut it out of mount board and painted it black with dabber.  the space-bar and upper piece comes out so i painted them silver as the levers on either end.  the keys themselves drop out, so i backed the piece onto a piece of card and filled in the keys roughly with white enamel accents, and edged the whole thing with white posca pen.
i used a pice of vellum and stamped the message on it and punched the top with an ek success punch.
the background is cosmo cricket 'garbo' paper and a piece of kraft card stamped with typewriter keys [sam poole stamp set, as is the message.] edges distressed with vinatge photo and walnut stain.  then i used tim's new rivet embossing folder;  using a technique from his new book i coloured it with black and ginger alcohol ink then rubbed it off with wire wool.
the cogs are laser cut mdf i found on ebay.
i added the word 'love' to jump rings [fab technique used by tracy evans! who is a genius!! thanx hun!]
